Sustain Arvada Festival and Fine Arts and Craft Fair including a
Half Marathon, 5K and 10K Run
Welcome to the annual Sustain Arvada Festival, half marathon 5K and 10K run, and Fine Arts and Craft Fair. The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 9th, the day before Mother’s Day. This one-day outdoor event is scheduled from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. The Sustain Arvada Festival is the third annual. This year we have also infused unique fine arts and crafts, as well as wellness products and activities.
We are excited about the opportunity for artisans, health awareness advocates, and sustainability vendors this year. Products and information are encouraged at the event. Education and outreach is our goal. We encourage new and innovative businesses that promote sustainability as well as the sale of products that approach 50 percent recycled and repurposed or vintage materials. Food vendors are asked to use compostable plates, cups, and flat ware. Plastic water bottles are discouraged. As usual, we encourage attendance by walking, riding a bicycle or taking the bus.
The Sustain Arvada Festival is a way of honoring Arvada’s rich heritage and preserving our resources to foster economic prosperity, environmental stewardship and community vitality today and into the future. Participants in attendance can expect to learn from each other. We appreciate vendors and exhibitors that incorporate water and energy conservation, transportation, and sustainable agricultural practices into their routine and practices.
