Celebrate Arvada’s 15th Annual Arvada Trails Day
A Free Family Event
When: Saturday, June 6, 2015; 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Where: Majestic View Nature Center - 7030 Garrison Street AND
Two Ponds National Wildlife Refuge - West 80th Avenue (just east of Kipling Street)
Celebrate National Trails Day in Arvada. Get outdoors and move your feet, pedal your bike or just enjoy a day of appreciating outdoor adventure. Ride your bike to Majestic View Nature Center and park it in the bike corral so you can enjoy all the outdoor activities. FREE hot dogs and frozen yogurt at both locations while they last.
Participate in the fun activities at this festival produced by the City of Arvada Festivals Commission, Majestic View Nature Center, Two Ponds National Wildlife Refuge and the Arvada Park Advisory Committee. Celebrate Arvada’s 125 miles of hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails which are among the best in the region.
Arvada Trails Activities
Celebrating outdoor adventure that families and individuals of all ages can enjoy:
At Majestic View Nature Center (7030 Garrison Street):
Free recreational bike rides meet at 8:30 a.m. for 13 mile trail/street ride and at 9:00 a.m. for 5 mile family trail/street ride
Live animal presentations by: The Downtown Aquarium, the Denver Zoo, and HawkQuest
Nature, outdoor and education exhibits
Kids’ environmental and craft activities
Entertaining music for the festive mood
At Two Ponds National Wildlife Refuge (80th Avenue just east of Kipling):
New this year
Help us dedicate our new trail, urban garden and new park features at 11:15 a.m. Learn more about Pioneer Farmsteaders new urban garden that will be growing vegetables, herbs and flowers using sustainable methods for sale to the local community.
Parking and Shuttle
Enjoy the activities at both sites and take the free shuttle service between Majestic View Nature Center and Two Ponds NWR. Parking is available at Majestic View Nature Center and the Medical Center parking lot on the southeast corner of 80th and Kipling.
