– The Arvada Center regretfully needs to make a change in the 2005-2006 Children’s Theater Season. The previously announced production of Curious George
will be replaced by Alexander, Who’s Not Not Not Not Not Not Going to Move
The rights to produce Curious George
were unexpectedly revoked due to a competing production in a nearby market. Alexander, Who’s Not… Going to Move
is based on the popular children’s book
“Alexander, Who’s Not (Do You Hear Me? I Mean It!) Going to Move,” written by Judith Viorst. This children’s musical, featuring book and lyrics by Judith Viorst with music by Shelly Markham, will be directed by Edith Weiss.
Alexander, Who’s Not… Going to Move
is the heartwarming tale of a little boy and his unhappiness when he learns that his dad has accepted a new job in a far away city. Unable to cope with having to leave his friends and all that is familiar, Alexander will stop at nothing to avoid moving. Humorous and touching, this musical is sure to entertain as Alexander deals with the anxiety of leaving behind what is familiar to embrace the challenges of the unknown.
The production will run from February 14 – May 5, 2006 on select weekdays and Saturdays. The complete performance schedule can be found at arvadacenter.org/children. For tickets and additional information, call 720-898-7200.
