Children of Eden
Music and Lyrics by Stephen Schwartz
Directed by Peter Flynn
This exuberant musical presents the age-old tale of parent-child relationships based on an interpretation of the Book of Genesis from the story of humanity’s first dysfunctional family with Adam and Eve and Cain and Abel to Noah and the flood. Told in song, the story is a jubilant mix of pop-inspired traditional, rock, jazz, gospel and Caribbean music by Stephen Schwartz (creator of Pippin, Godspell
and Disney’s Pocahontas
and The Hunchback of Notre Dame
