It is recommended that we drink at least eight glasses of water each day to stay hydrated and healthy. But if you get your water from the kitchen sink, you probably let the faucet run while the water cools off. If a well-hydrated family of four let the water run for seven seconds each time before filling their glasses, over a hundred gallons of water would be wasted each month. Instead of running the faucet to get cold water, fill a pitcher and place it in the refrigerator. Also, by designating one glass for each person's drinking water each day, you will cut down on the number of times you run your dishwasher.
