The Arvada Police Department Records Unit has the responsibility for maintaining and releasing criminal justice records to the public, other law enforcement agencies, and insurance companies.

The Records Unit also verifies information related to accidents, arrests, warrants, citations, contacts made by officers on the streets, and offenders in the Department's records system. They work in state and national databases (CCIC/NCIC) to enter/modify/cancel warrants, missing people and stolen items.

The Records Unit is responsible for disseminating the City of Arvada's Sex Offender List to the public. The list of registered sex offenders living in Arvada is available to anyone who requests the information, free of charge.

To obtain a copy of the list, you can visit the Records Unit at the Arvada Police Department in the main police lobby.

Evidence

Phone:  720-898-6926

The Arvada Police Department Evidence Unit preserves and maintains the integrity of approximately 40,000 items of property and vehicles seized by department personnel.

Property and vehicles can be seized when known to be or are implicated in criminal activity.  The other way the Evidence Unit receives property or vehicles is when the property has been found or recovered, and then released back to its rightful owner.

The Evidence Unit is a secured area with limited and controlled access.  Property or vehicles seized by employees will remain in the custody and control of the Evidence Unit  until a disposition through the criminal justice system has been reached and identified owners are established.

Unclaimed property will be destroyed, auctioned or converted to Department use.  For more information about police auctions, visit www.rollerauction.com.
